Geoff Snow

Geoff Snow has devoted his entire career to defending the rights of individuals charged with criminal offences.

Geoff is a passionate advocate and is committed to protecting his clients from the overwhelming power of the government. His criminal law practice is particularly focused on complex trials and applications in both the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice.

Geoff takes on some of the most serious cases in London and Southwestern Ontario. When he is retained on a matter he is devoted to fighting for his client. Some cases, by their nature, attract public attention, but Geoff does everything he can to ensure his cases stay out of the spotlight so his clients’ privacy is protected.

Geoff has a Master of Laws degree specializing in Criminal Law and Procedure. He is actively involved in professional legal organizations dedicated to continuing education in criminal law in both Canada in the United States to ensure his clients are served with the highest level of skill and expertise when they need it most.

Because of his experience and approach to practicing law, Geoff is invited to speak on a range of topics for other lawyers. He has given presentations to the Middlesex Law Association, the London Criminal Lawyers’ Association, and the Ontario Bar Association.

From 2016 to 2019, Geoff was President of the London Criminal Lawyers’ Association. He is currently a Director of Paws United Dog Rescue, a local animal welfare organization. While attending Bishop’s University in Lennoxville, Quebec, Geoff was a four-year member of the Gaiters varsity football program. Since graduating, Geoff founded the Geoff Snow Award supporting female athletes at Bishop’s. Geoff is an official sponsor of the London Lightning basketball team, and a proud supporter of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwestern Ontario.

    About Snow Lawyers Professional Corporation

    We are trial lawyers.

We work late nights and we bring complicated applications to challenge prosecutions. When we are in trial, it consumes us – we are single-minded in our pursuit of success and protecting you against the immense power of the government. We protect your privacy, your family, your freedom, and your livelihood. We protect you from prosecutions that can be driven by political objectives, not the pursuit of justice. We protect you from dishonest police and civilian witnesses, and illegal police conduct.

The federal government has recently made sweeping changes to the Criminal Code that drastically reduced procedural and legal protections for people like you or your loved one facing criminal accusations, while at the same time increasing the severity of penalties upon conviction. These changes were largely politically motivated, and not based on meaningful research, facts, or science. These changes have jeopardized our society’s most vulnerable people.

The changes are alarming and have given the government even more power against its citizens.

We are fearless. We recognize it is more challenging than ever to protect your rights and liberty against the immense power of the government. We are not only up to this challenge, we thrive on it.

The presumption of innocence isn’t just an expression – it is our life (and yours).

    What makes us different

    Honesty & Professionalism

We defend you with integrity. This not only benefits you, but ensures we are taken seriously among prosecutors, juries, and courts.

Our cases are not about boosting our egos or self-promotion. We make sure to tell you the tough truth; even if it isn’t what you want to hear. We resolve cases discreetly, so you can work towards resuming a normal life.

    Fearlessness

Don’t mistake professionalism for being a pushover. The Canadian justice system is an adversarial one. We are not afraid to take hard or unpopular positions in order to defend what is just and right.

    Loyalty

We deliver honest, straightforward legal advice. No matter the complexity of your situation, we are loyal to your rights and you, as a person. Each defence is tailored to your unique circumstances, and we advise you on how best to proceed.

    Hard Work & Smart Work

There is rarely an easy solution to your problem, that’s why we are committed to putting in the time and resources necessary to accomplish the right/just result. We keep up on all developments in the law. By actively engaging in professional associations and conducting regular independent research, we know the newest and best ways to approach each case.
